COSSAN

A CUTTING-EDGE SOFTWARE TO QUANTIFY, MITIGATE AND MANAGE RISK AND UNCERTAINTY IN MANY FIELDS

Cossan is a general purpose package to quantify, mitigate and manage risk and uncertainty, and is utilised both in academic and industrial contexts across many fields. The most advanced and recent algorithms from academia are coupled with the parallel computing features for the rational quantification and propagation of uncertainties which allows one to reduce the computational cost for the stochastic analysis. The library is under constant development, benefiting from the in excess of 100 active developers world wide, with comprehensive daily unit testing and benchmarking. Included in the software suite is full interaction with third party solvers, as well as toolboxes for sensitivity analysis, optimisation, efficient stochastic simulation, reliability and fragility analysis, system reliability, surrogate modelling, a comprehensive advanced Baysian methods library including Baysian networks, and a validation toolbox amongst many more, Cossan is a one-stop-shop for uncertainty quantification and risk analysis.

There is an open source version of the Cossan suite available under the terms of the GNU lesser general public license, OpenCossan, and a licensed GUI Cossan-X. Our team is also happy to discus developing bespoke work flows for commercial purposes.
